Ikarus C42

The Ikarus offers a conventional sibe-by-side layout with a robust landing gear well suited to rough field operations, hard landings, as well as the lovely smooth grass we have here at Redlands.

Our new school aircraft inludes the industry standard Rotax four stroke 100hp 912S engine offering great performance and the best reliability that money can buy. The Ikarus C42 is also one of the more spacious microlight aircraft on the market with a comfortable cabin wider than some Cessnas and easily accessible through clam shell doors. This enables us to fly with people who are less able bodied.

Clearprop! are offering the option of trial flights as well as training in either the Pegasus 912 flex wing or in the new Ikarus. The choice is yours. With the prospect of being able to hire aircraft to qualified pilots and their passenger Clearprop! will be looking to offer the Ikarus for this purpose. Watch this space.

The report from this flight test gives a good insight of what to expect from this aircraft. On page two of this report is a comprehensive table covering all the aircraft specifications. Still want to know more? Then why not come and visit us and have a go for yourself! We look forward to welcoming you here at Clearprop! Microlight School.
